This hand shaped pendant is made from Yew timber found near Henley on Thames, England. Some highlights on Yew, The hardest of all softwood species, Yew is certainly a unique wood species. Its density and working characteristics are more inline with a heavy hardwood than a softwood having a tight fine grain. Yew is extremely flexible, yet strong and its colour will darken with age.
